Texas FAIR Plan, Windstorm Association Elect Officers for 2008-2009
Both the Texas FAIR Plan Association and the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) have elected new officers for 2008-2009.
For the Texas FAIR Plan, James Langford, vice president, Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Companies was elected chair; Garry Kaufman, president of Galveston Insurance Associates, vice chair; Corise Morrison, executive director, USAA, secretary-treasurer; and Alphonso Delaney, public consumer, member of the executive committee.
New TWIA officers are: Chair – James Langford, vice chair – Garry Kaufman, secretary-treasurer – Corise Morrison, and Georgia Neblett, public consumer, Corpus Christi.
The Texas FAIR Plan write homeowners insurance in every Texas county for those who are unable to purchase coverage in the voluntary market.
TWIA is a residual market for windstorm insurance in 14 coastal counties.
