Oklahoma Workers’ Comp Average Weekly Wage Set to Change Nov. 1
The Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Court announced that beginning Nov. 1, 2009, the average weekly wage, used to establish maximum benefits under the Oklahoma Workers’ Compensation Act, will increase.
Due to an increase in the State’s Average Weekly Wage (SAWW) reported by the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, the maximum compensation benefit rate for work related injury and illness occurring during the period beginning Nov. 1, 2009, and ending Oct. 31, 2010, has changed to $717 per week for Temporary Total Disability (TTD), Permanent Total Disability (PTD), and Death, and $359 for Permanent Partial Disability (PPD).
Revised disability and death benefits charts are being produced and will be made available as quickly as possible, the Court said. The charts will be available online at www.owcc.state.ok.us under “Laws/Rules/Charts.”
