Oklahoma Plane Crash Victims’ Family Sues Aviation Companies
Several aviation companies have been sued by relatives of a Tulsa, Okla., family who died in a fiery plane crash near Glenpool.
Lawsuits were filed on behalf of William Lunn and Lillian Badeen, his mother-in-law.
Lunn’s former wife, Rhonda, and their teenage children Kathryn, Michael and Adrienne died Oct. 17, 2007, when the plane struck power lines and burst into flames. Pilot Bill Wiseman Jr. also was killed.
The lawsuits allege that a fuel filter in the single-engine Beech A36 was installed backward, allowing debris to collect and cut off fuel to the engine.
Gary Sipes of Sipes Aircraft, one of the defendants, declined to comment when contacted by the Tulsa World.
Beechcraft Aircraft Corp., Teledyne Continental Motors and Raytheon Aircraft Co. also are named in the lawsuit.
