9 Employers in Texas Recognized for Exemplary Safety Programs
The Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation (TDI-DWC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recently recognized nine Texas companies for their outstanding safety programs.
The Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) award was presented to: AHI Supply Inc. of Alvin; Albritton Machine Inc. of Odessa; Anthony Forest Products Inc. of Troup; Claytex Enterprises Inc. of Texas City; Delta Centrifugal Corporation of Temple; Don-Nan Pump & Supply Inc. of Midland; Kinder-Morgan Central Basin Pipeline LP of Snyder; MSA Industries of Odessa; Regent Care Center of The Woodlands; and Waggoner Manufacturing Inc. of Round Rock.
The SHARP award recognizes small, private sector Texas employers for exemplary safety management programs and low incidence rates of work-related injuries and illnesses after participation in the TDI-DWC Occupational Safety and Health Consultation (OSHCON) program.
AHI Supply Inc. employs 72 people at the Alvin location and manufactures bricks and stone products used in the crafting of residential construction. The company has been granted a one-year exemption from programmed OSHA inspections.
Albritton Machine Inc. employs 15 people at the Odessa location and provides service and repair of centrifugal pumps. The company has been granted a one-year exemption from programmed OSHA inspections.
Anthony Forest Products Inc. employs seven people at the chip mill located in Troup producing wood chips to support the paper manufacturing industry. The company has been granted a two-year exemption from programmed OSHA inspections.
Claytex Enterprises Inc. employs 39 people at its Texas City location and manufactures sports and educational achievement medals, challenge coins, trophies, plaques, acrylic trophies and acrylic plaques. The company has been granted a one-year exemption from programmed OSHA inspections.
Delta Centrifugal Corporation employs 140 people at the Temple location and casts and machines stainless steel products. The company has been granted a one-year exemption from programmed OSHA inspections.
Don-Nan Pump & Supply Inc. employs 120 people at the Midland location and manufactures and repairs pumps and pump accessories used in oilfield applications. The company has been granted a one-year exemption from programmed OSHA inspections.
Kinder-Morgan Central Basin Pipeline LP employs nine people at the Snyder location and provides pipeline maintenance services. The company has been granted a one-year exemption from programmed OSHA inspections.
MSA Industries employs 10 people at the Odessa location and provides on-site painting, spray finishing, and abrasive blasting services to the oil and gas industry. The company has been granted a one-year exemption from programmed OSHA inspections.
Regent Care Center of The Woodlands employs 150 people at their location and provides senior citizen nursing care and long-term specialty care. The company has been has been granted a one-year exemption from programmed OSHA inspections.
Waggoner Manufacturing Inc. employs 21 people at the Round Rock location and manufactures machined products in support of the semiconductor industry. The company has been granted a one-year exemption from programmed OSHA inspections.
