Quake in Reported Eastern Oklahoma County, 14th in 2010
The U.S. Geological Survey says another small earthquake has rattled eastern Oklahoma County.
The survey reported that a temblor with a 3.0 magnitude occurred at 11:04 p.m. April 11 about six miles south of Luther.
There were no reports of injuries or damage with the quake, the second in the area in less than a week and the 14th since the beginning of 2010.
New detectors recenlty found fault lines in the Jones, Okla., area. A 3.2-magnitude tremor occurred April 8 near Jones. A 4.1-magnitude quake near Sparks on Feb. 27 has been the strongest reported so far.
Researchers say quakes of 2.5 to 3.0 magnitude quakes are typically the smallest felt by humans.
