Several Quakes Reported in Arkansas
Authorities say no damage or injuries were reported when several small earthquakes rattled the Searcy, Ark., area over the weekend.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the quakes hit about seven miles west-southwest of Searcy.
The first two temblors hit Saturday at 6:47 p.m. and 7:03 p.m., both with a 2.7 magnitude. Another quake hit Saturday at 11:47 p.m. measuring 3.3 and then another was recorded Monday at 6:32 a.m., measuring 2.3.
Kathy Greenman says she heard a loud noise and the house shook Saturday evening. Greenman says it felt as if a semi truck had rammed into the residence.
Another resident, Anne Keeth, says she heard a quake about the same time, and it sounded like a boom.
