An official at Harding University in Arkansas says an employee who was seriously injured after falling at a campus construction site has died.
School spokeswoman Heather Williams says 61-year-old Joe Pike of Quitman died, but she didn’t know the exact time.
Williams told the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that Pike had been on life support Jan. 5 at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, where he was transferred after the accident.
According to a statement from the school, Pike was working on an addition to the Mabee Business Center when he fell on the morning of Jan. 4 from the roof to the second floor.
Pike, a master carpenter and welder, was helping to prepare the roof for a heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system.
