Arkansas Pipe-Making Firm Fined by OSHA
A company that makes pipe has been fined $88,000 by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration for exposing its workers to safety and health hazards at its Little Rock plant.
OSHA said the fine had been imposed on Welspun Tubular LLC, owned by a company based in Mumbai, India.
The agency said it found 16 serious safety violations and five serious health violations in an Aug. 3, 2010, inspection of the plant, which employs about 265 workers
