Small Earthquake in Northeast Arkansas
A small earthquake has been recorded near Dell in northeast Arkansas by the U.S. Geological Survey.
The U.S.G.S. reports the preliminary magnitude 2.5 quake was recorded at 8:41 p.m. Wednesday and centered about three miles northeast of Dell and about six miles southwest of Blytheville. The area is about 50 miles north of Memphis, Tenn.
No injuries or damage is reported.
Geologists say earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 to 3 are general the smallest that are felt by humans.
