Louisiana Woman Sentenced to 69 Months for Arson Scheme
A 30-year-old Reserve, Louisiana woman has been sentenced to five years and nine months in prison for her role in 2007 fire at a public housing complex.
Niasha Marie King pleaded guilty to setting her apartment in Reserve on fire to defraud her insurance company for payment on her personal property. Two men involved in the conspiracy also received federal prison sentences of 69 months and 30 months.
U.S. District Judge Carl Barbier on Thursday ordered King to serve three years of supervised release following her prison term.
