Arkansas Company Settle Wrongful Termination Lawsuit
A lawsuit filed by a former Heifer International executive has been dismissed with the parties reaching a mediated settlement.
Arkansas Business reported Monday that the Little Rock-based charity and former vice president Rafal Laski came to terms over Laski’s claim that Heifer had wrongly fired him and injured his reputation.
Neither side would say much about the details of the settlement but said each was satisfied with the outcome. Heifer told the newspaper that an insurance company covered its payment.
Laski was in charge of Heifer’s operations in central and eastern Europe. Heifer fired him in 2009 over what the charity described as $34,000 in expense account irregularities.
