Fire That Destroyed Oklahoma Church Ruled Accidental
Tulsa fire officials say a blaze that destroyed a church over the weekend was accidental.
Officials say a motor in the furnace at Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church caught the building’s southeast corner on fire on Saturday. The building was unoccupied and no injuries were reported.
Tulsa Fire Department spokesman Stan May says it took 12 fire crews more than an hour to contain the blaze.
Members met at the church’s Family Life Center, located adjacent to the church building, on Sunday.
