Louisiana Company Hit With OSHA Citations
A Louisiana-based construction company has been cited by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration for its work while replacing high-pressure gas lines in Newnan, Ga.
The agency cited Eunice-based Sunland Construction Inc. with two willful violations for exposing workers to the possibility of a trench collapse. OSHA is proposing $140,000 in penalties, which the company can contest.
Sunland Construction provides pipeline construction services.
A call was left Tuesday with the company for comment.
