Oklahoma Police Investigating Pedestrian Death
Lawton, Okla., police are investigating after a pedestrian was struck and killed while walking along a busy street.
Police tell Lawton television station KSWO that the Tuesday morning death appears to be an accident. Police say the victim, who has not been identified, was walking with a friend along Rogers Lane early Tuesday when he was struck by a car.
The driver has not yet been identified but police say he is a Fort Sill soldier.
Lt. Jim Cowley says the man was pushing a shopping cart with a friend and it appears he never saw the car coming. Police say no charges have been filed against the driver.
