Louisiana to Hold Asbestos and Lead Workshop
The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality will hold a free workshop about asbestos and lead regulations on May 23. It will summarize changes in asbestos regulations and any changes in rules for lead-based paint.
Glenn Gomes will talk about the health consequences of asbestos exposure, and there will be a question-and-answer period. The workshop is open to the public.
The session will be held from 9 a.m. until noon at the department’s conference center in Baton Rouge. Workshop officials will validate parking tickets at the Galvez II garage.
