Storms Blamed for North Texas Roof Collapse
Thunderstorms moving through North Texas are being blamed for the partial collapse of an apartment complex roof, thousands of power outages and various flight delays.
Dallas TV station WFAA reports that heavy winds from Wednesday’s storms helped bring down part of the roof of a Fort Worth apartment complex. Emergency crews say no one was hurt.
Dallas-based electric provider Oncor says more than 33,000 customers, most in the Dallas area, were without power.
The National Weather Service reported wind gusts of up to 60 miles per hour from the storms.
