Tolman has experience in building investigations and failure analysis related to building structure and cladding evaluation, construction site accidents, personal injury claims, and evaluation of construction defect claims.
He is experienced in framing, roofing, and landscaping construction practices and has worked with several versions of building codes including historic building code research related to damage assessment or claims for older structures.
His work includes condition assessment of building construction, related to construction defect issues and structure property damage.
He has been the lead engineer on several large construction defect projects, and works as an appraiser/umpire in the alternate dispute resolution process.
Tolman is a licensed professional engineer in several states, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Iowa, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texa, and Wyoming.
