Woman Hospitalized After Being Thrown From Louisiana Fair Ride
A Bossier City woman was hospitalized with broken bones and internal injuries after she was thrown from a ride at the State Fair of Louisiana in Shreveport.
The Times reports that the woman was identified as 20-year-old Klarissa Graves by fair President and General Manager Chris Giordano. The accident happened late Saturday.
Sunday, the fair’s closing day, the Fun Factory ride from which Graves was thrown was shut down on order of the State Fire Marshal, whose office now is investigating.
The same office investigated an accident at the fair last year in which a 4-year-old boy from Red River Parish was critically injured.
