FEMA Awards $1.6M to Louisiana Parish Rec Center
The Federal Emergency Management Agency is awarding a $1.6 million disaster grant for Louisiana’s Cameron Parish Recreation Center to replace facilities demolished by Hurricane Rita in 2005.
Sen. Mary Landrieu, a Louisiana Democrat who chairs the Senate Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee, announced the grant award on Monday.
The grant will pay for replacing the recreation center’s main pool, kiddie pool, pavilion, fencing and T-ball field.
