Investigation Continues in Texas Boy’s Sand Pile Death
Authorities continue to investigate how a 7-year-old boy died after being found inside a sand pile at a Texas horse training facility.
Wyatt McDaniel was playing on Friday with his 5-year-old brother Logan while their father, head instructor Charles McDaniel, was giving a lesson. Authorities say that Logan ran to get his father and tell him that his brother was stuck in the sand.
Wyatt died later at an area hospital.
The San Antonio Express-News reports no cause of death is expected to be released until this week.
Bexar County sheriff’s spokesman Paul Berry says it appears no one saw how Wyatt may have ended up in the pile.
The accident occurred at the Wild Sunday Farm, about 30 miles north of downtown San Antonio.
