Lightning May Have Started Louisiana Building Fire
Investigators believe a lightning strike started a fire that heavily damaged a building that holds two businesses in the town of Baker, La.
The Advocate reports (http://bit.ly/12l5HcI ) the Baker Fire Department responded at 5:30 a.m. Saturday to the blaze at Rose’s Florist and Gift and IH Tax Service on Groom Road. Nobody was in the building at the time.
Firefighters encountered fire and smoke, and there was heavy damage to the metal and brick structure.
Baker is just north of Baton Rouge.
