Parts of Flooded College Station City Hall Closed
Parts of a storm-flooded Central Texas city hall will remain closed a few more days as cleanup continues.
A spokesman for the city of College Station says affected staffers will likely be able to move back into their offices around the end of the week. Jay Socol said Monday that the goal is to ensure carpet and walls dry out as much as possible.
Heavy rain last Thursday caused a drain to clog and water accumulated in an outdoor atrium before pouring into some College Station City Hall offices.
Socol says the south side of the building suffered the most damage and remains closed. The areas include offices of the mayor, the city manager, the city secretary plus city council chambers.
