Arkansas Burglars Hit Homes During Funerals
Authorities in Faulkner County, Ark., say it appears local burglars have been reading the obituaries and breaking into homes while the owners are away a funerals.
A woman’s home in Conway was burglarized on Wednesday while she was attending her husband’s funeral. Authorities say at least two other similar burglaries have occurred.
Wednesday’s victim, Debra Storment, told Little Rock television station KATV that she wants people to be aware of the danger.
Conway police have an online form that residents can fill out if they want officers to check their residence while they are away.
Investigators say they’re not sure that the three burglaries are linked.
