Louisiana Man Accused of Falsifying Sale to Get BP Funds
A 66-year-old Buras,La., man accused of creating a false bill of sale for a boat he purchased in order to obtain settlement money from BP has been arrested.
The Advocate reports Limauel Lee Watson was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison Tuesday night on counts of injuring public records and filing false public documents.
Adam Einck, spokesman for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, says agents do not know how much money Watson was seeking from BP.
It was unclear whether Watson has an attorney.
