Thousands of Tornado-Strewn Photos Returned
A group of volunteers who’ve spent the past several months cleaning photographs that were blown far and wide by May tornadoes in central Oklahoma have now returned thousands of them.
The group Oklahoma Photo Rescue met Saturday in Moore for what members called a “reunification event.” Group member Angela Madory told KWTV that about 50,000 photos have been recovered and that about two-thirds of them have yet to be cleaned.
Madory said that after Saturday’s event, the volunteers will return to work cleaning the remaining photos.
