Texas Issues Special Data Call for Commercial Property Insurance Coverage
The Texas Department of Insurance is issuing a special catastrophe areas data call to property/casualty insurers who write direct commercial property and businessowners insurance in Texas.
Information collected under this data call is for 2013. The Texas Windstorm Insurance Association (TWIA) will use this data to calculate participation shares for assessments.
This call is being sent to companies that fall into one of the following categories:
- Companies reporting 2013 Texas commercial property or businessowners statistical data to our commercial lines stat agent under a minimum or limited reporting format, which did not include place code or ZIP code level detail, or
- Companies reporting 2013 Texas commercial property or businessowners statistical data to our commercial lines stat agent under a full reporting plan format, but have not had all four quarters of their 2013 data accepted as of Feb. 28, 2014.
