Oklahoma Governor’s Campaign Bus Burglarized
Oklahoma City police say a stereo and TV were stolen from Gov. Mary Fallin’s campaign bus while it was parked at an RV dealership for maintenance.
The Oklahoman reported Friday that robbers broke into the bus sometime this week and attempted to take another TV inside. The thieves also stole 21 tires from pop-up campers at the RV dealership.
One of the business’ owners says the thieves drove a pickup truck to haul away the tires after cutting a hole in the dealership’s fence.
Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow says investigators are working to get surveillance video from the dealership.
Fallin communications director Alex Weintz says the RV should be operational by Saturday for the governor’s next campaign stops.
