Arkansas Man Who Crashed Into Police Helicopters Crashes Again
Baxter County police say a 71-year-old man who recently crashed his car into two law enforcement helicopters has knocked out power to more than 550 people in another significant wreck.
The Baxter Bulletin reports the driver ran a red light on Saturday before striking a truck and crashing into a utility pole. Mountain Home police estimate there were $1,000 in damages to the truck and $7,000 to the pole. Entergy Arkansas says 554 homes were temporarily left without power.
No injuries or charges were reported.
The sheriff said the driver wrecked $50,000 worth of helicopters in August after launching his car into the air and into an officer parking lot.
