Crawford & Co. Recoups $16 Million in Subrogation for Clients
Crawford & Company announced that its Dedicated Recovery Unit has recovered more than $16 million in subrogation for its clients in the past 12 months. Officials at the company say they are committed to saving their clients even more through subrogation in the future.
“Our operation is focused solely on collecting money for our clients,” says David Eytcheson, national recovery manager, Crawford DRU. “That focus is paying off for us and our clients.”
Crawford created the DRU to fill an industry demand for specialized recovery services and to alleviate pricing concerns by offering contingency, tiered, flat rate, and cost-plus options. Contingency fees are based on the volume of assignments, coverage line, recovery amount, and extent the file has been worked prior to the referral.
From its Tulsa, Okla., base, the unit handles coverage lines of insurance subrogation and collections claims for all 50 states. The unit houses a dynamic staff of debt collection specialists, trained insurance adjusters, and an in-house attorney.
