NALG Retains Independent Counsel in Unauthorized E-mail Investigation
Bradley Wilson, president of Florida-based North American Liability Group announced that in response to unauthorized spam e-mails being sent out about the company by an unknown third party or parties, that the company has retained independent counsel to investigate the problem.
The company has retained Mark. Bryn, of Bryn & Associates. Bryn, in his capacity as corporate counsel to various e-mail marketing firms, has extensive experience in issues related to the maintenance of permission e-mail marketing lists, and issues associated with compliance with various state anti-spam statutes and ensuring that his clients comply with the provisions of the “CAN-Spam” Act.
Bryn is reportedly familiar with the issues related to investigating alleged spamming activities, retaining experts to trace the origins of unauthorized e-mails, and in working with counsel for various ISPs.
In commenting upon this, Wilson, stated, “We have received numerous complaints about this spam e-mail and we believe that we have a duty to investigate it. We hope that with the retention of Mr. Bryn that we can determine who is responsible for this, and hopefully put an end to it.”
