Verastar Opens New Independent Salvage Auction for Memphis Area
Verastar, a group of 11 independent salvage auctions located in Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Tennessee, announced its expansion into the Memphis market. The new facility on Fite Road is situated just 15 minutes north of downtown Memphis, two miles off the I-40 Bypass near the new motor speedway.
“This new facility allows Verastar to more easily provide our customers with statewide service in Tennessee, as well as cost-effective coverage in northern Mississippi and eastern Arkansas,” said owner Bob Poole.
Poole, who also owns the Verastar auctions in Kentucky, Nashville, Chattanooga, and Jackson, continued, “At 62 acres, the new site affords ample space for the large physical facility we’ve planned, along with a sizeable area for vehicle storage. Our new building will measure roughly 10,000 square feet, with office and meeting space, onsite claims offices for clients, and an indoor drive-through auction area.”
The company has already broken ground on the new property, and plans to begin operations during the fourth quarter, working out of temporary modular space while the new building is under construction.
Verastar (www.verastar.com) has been in business since 1961, offering salvage asset management and live salvage auto auctions, both onsite and over the World Wide Web.
