W. Va. WCC Files Suit Against 6 Employers
West Virginia’s Workers’ Compensation Commission recently filed injunctions against six state employers whose accounts with the Commission are reportedly in default.
Injunctions were filed in Kanawha County Circuit Court against the following:
• Fisher Controls International Inc., a Kanawha County machinery manufacturing business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $31,415.37;
• Margaret R. Mullins, dba M & R Sales & Auditing, a Kanawha County cable television operations business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $12,057.52;
• Landers Enterprises Inc., a Cabell County automobile accessory sales business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $12,082.58;
• Sharon Tonkerey dba Family Mart 50/250, a Taylor County retail grocery business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $11,316.37;
• New River Management Services, a Wyoming County surface coal mining business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $254,521.37; and
• Aero Jet Power Wash Company, a Cabell County truck washing business, owes back premiums, interest and penalties totaling $25,676.55.
The injunctions call for the firms to cease business.
