Additional Fla. Recovery Center Opened

Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and State of Florida officials announced the opening of a Disaster Recovery Center in Milton on Thursday, July 14, bringing to five the number of centers open so far to assist those affected by Hurricane Dennis.

Individuals and business owners who suffered damage from Hurricane Dennis are urged to register for assistance by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). The TTY number is 1-800-462-7585 for those who are speech- or hearing-impaired. Both lines are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until further notice. Individuals can also apply for assistance online at www.fema.gov.

Those who have questions about disaster assistance may visit the FEMA/State Disaster Recovery Centers to meet face-to-face with recovery specialists. Representatives of state, federal, and voluntary agencies, as well as loan officers from the U.S. Small Business Administration, will be on hand to answer questions and provide recovery information. Written materials about various assistance programs are also available to visitors to the centers.

The centers will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CDT, seven days a week, until further notice, at these locations:
