Houston General Enters South Carolina Personal Lines Market
South Carolina drivers and homeowners have new options for insuring their vehicles, homes and belongings. Houston General Insurance Exchange announced that it is offering auto, homeowners and package insurance to consumers in the Palmetto State.
In addition to home and auto protection, the company is offering membership advantages including emergency roadside assistance for vehicles it insures, identity theft resolution services and access to travel assistance, according to Phil Ferrante, South Carolina business development manager for Houston General Insurance Management Company.
The products for cars, homes, boats and other valuables include OneChoice Auto, OneChoice Homeowners and OneChoice Package. Houston General markets its products exclusively through independent insurance agents.
Houston General Insurance Exchange is managed by Houston General Insurance Management Company, a subsidiary of Boston-based OneBeacon Insurance Group. South Carolina is the second state for Houston General; the company has conducted business in Arizona since November 2005.
