Williams Named N.C. Department of Insurance Legislative Counsel
Goldsboro, N.C., resident Rose Vaughn Williams will join Insurance Commissioner Jim Long’s staff as legislative counsel.
Williams most recently served as a district court judge in the eighth judicial district of Wayne, Lenoir and Greene Counties. She will step down from this position at the end of this year.
Williams was appointed district court judge in 2001 and was elected unopposed in 2004. Her work included personal injury, insurance defense and workers compensation practice as well as serving as a certified mediator. She also served as a member of the State Board of Elections.
Williams begins work as legislative counsel in January.
