N.C. Man Sentenced in Fires at 3 Greenville Churches
A man who pleaded guilty to setting fires at three Greenville, N.C., churches last year has been sentenced to 10 years to 12 years in prison.
A Pitt County Superior Court judge sentenced 28-year-old Seth Parker Price of Farmville, N.C., on 14 charges Tuesday. Prosecutors and defense lawyers said Price suffered from alcohol and emotional problems.
Parker had told investigators he broke into the churches for shelter, but set the fires to cover his actions.
Pastor Jeff Manning of Unity Free Will Baptist Church said Price would be welcome at his church after prison.
