Tennessee State Rep. Hardaway Faces Traffic Charges
Tennessee State Rep. G.A. Hardaway of Memphis faces charges of driving on a suspended license and driving without proof of insurance in Olive Branch, Mississippi.
Hardaway, 54, was arrested Aug. 24. He was released on $1,000 bond with a court hearing set for September 23.
On Aug. 26, Hardaway told The Commercial Appeal that he didn’t know his license had been suspended. He also says he has automobile insurance but could not find the insurance card when stopped.
Hardaway won re-election in the Aug. 7 Democratic primary by defeating Eddie Neal. He has no opponent in the November general election.
Hardaway was first elected in a March 2007 special election.
