Vacant Warehouse Fire Snarls Traffic in Atlanta
Fire that destroyed a vacant warehouse on Atlanta’s North Avenue snarled traffic on the busy street during the morning rush hour.
Fire broke out about 3 a.m. on Sept. 4 at the warehouse once occupied by Dixie Seal and Stamp near City Hall East.
It took about an hour to get the fire under control but firefighters were still putting out hot spots after 6 a.m.
Assistant Fire Chief Chris Wessels said no injuries were reported and the cause of the fire wasn’t immediately determined.
