West Virginia Nonprofits Eligible for Disaster Aid
Federal disaster loans are available for homeless shelters, libraries and other private nonprofit organizations in West Virginia’s Mingo and Wyoming counties affected by recent storms, flooding and landslides.
Nonprofits that don’t provide critical governmental services are eligible for the low-interest loans.
The Small Business Administration said this week that nonprofits can borrow up to $2 million to replace destroyed or damaged business assets such as machinery and inventory.
Mitigation funds also are available to help pay for steps to minimize damage in the future.
