West Virginia Begins Summer Carnival Ride Safety Inspections
West Virginia’s Division of Labor says it’s getting ready for summer carnival season.
The agency said Friday it is performing safety checks on amusement rides and attractions. Commissioner David Mullins says checking rides is designed to keep the public as safe as possible.
Besides carnival rides, the agency says it inspects kiddie rides, inflatable attractions, climbing walls and water slides, among other things.
The agency says it’s important for event sponsors and hosts to make sure that rides have current inspection stickers and insurance
