Alabama Officials Investigating Series of Suspicious Fires in Ashford
Law enforcement officers and firefighters are asking the public to help them determine what caused a series of suspicious fires in the Houston County town of Ashford.
The fires occurred in Ashford over about a 10-day period.
Two of the fires occurred Sept. 18 and Sept. 19 in an apartment destroyed by fire a day after Ashford firefighters had responded to a call for a burning sofa inside the apartment.
The Alabama Fire Marshall’s office said officials are also investigating four suspicious fires over the weekend in the Palmer Townhouses in Ashford.
Anyone with information about these fires should call the Alabama Arson Hotline at 1-800-654-0775 or Ashford police at 334-899-5113.
