Workers Needed for Jobs Created by Gulf Oil Spill
The state of Alabama is looking for workers to fill jobs expected to be created by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
The director of the Governor’s Office of Workforce Development, Melissa Hughes, said career centers will be available to help people find cleanup jobs created by the spill as well as those who lose their jobs because of the spill.
Officials have said at least 500 workers will be needed along the Alabama, Florida, Louisiana and Mississippi coasts to assist with the cleanup.
