Cargo Plane Crashes into House in Florida
A twin-engine cargo plane crashed into two vehicles and a house and caught fire just north of an airport in the Miami area.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokeswoman Cristina Armand says the crash happened shortly after 8 a.m. Monday. She says one person on the plane, believed to be the pilot, is dead. She said no injuries have been reported on the ground.
It appears the plane crashed into the vehicles before coming to rest at the back of the house. Armand says there is no structural damage to the house. It does, however, have smoke damage.
The plane and vehicles were fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived.
The National Transportation Safety Board is taking over the investigation.
