Kentucky Man Working on Car Dies When Jack Slips
A southern Kentucky man has been killed when a car slipped off a jack and fell onto him.
Tony Estep died Sunday in the accident in Laurel County. The 35-year-old Estep was underneath his vehicle, repairing it when it rolled enough to slip off of a jack holding it up, according to WKYT-TV in Lexington.
Laurel County Sheriff’s Deputy Gilbert Acciardo said Estep’s wife managed to jack up the car again, but the victim was already dead.
The deputy said the car was on a slight incline and the jack mired in ground made soft by overnight rain.
