Police Hunt Waffle House Bandits in Atlanta, Georgia
Police say they’re hunting a pair of suspects they consider serial robbers who have struck at least 11 Waffle House restaurants across metro Atlanta.
Norcross police Sgt. Bill Grogan tells WSB Radio that the men are suspected of robbing the restaurants during the past two weeks in areas that include Norcross and Gwinnett County.
Authorities say the latest robbery occurred Thursday morning at a Waffle House near Powers Ferry and Delk roads in Marietta.
Grogan says the suspects tend to strike between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., typically the slowest times at the restaurants, when they will place a to-go order. He said that when the cash register is opened, a gun is shown.
Police say the suspects wear a hat and sunglasses.
