Kentucky Police Car’s Lights Fail, Officer Hits Car
Police said two officers were responding to an incident under light and siren Sunday night. As one police car made a turn ,an oncoming vehicle slowed, but didn’t stop and the vehicles collided.
The officer wasn’t hurt and the other driver was treated for minor injuries.
The second officer and the motorist both said the police car’s emergency lights had quit working before it entered the intersection, according to WLEX-TV.
Police Lt. Chris Van Brackel said the lights and siren are linked and the siren is not supposed to work without the lights operating.
