Car Crashes into Georgia Construction Crew, Killing 1
Savannah police say a construction worker is dead and three others are injured after a road-repair crew was struck by a car in an upscale subdivision.
Police spokesman Julian Miller said Monday the three injured construction workers and the driver of the car, a woman, were taken to a hospital but did not appear to have life-threatening injuries.
The crash happened Monday afternoon at The Landings, a gated subdivision of waterfront homes on Skidaway Island. Miller says the construction workers were patching potholes in the road and had signs up that said “Men At Work” when they were hit.
Miller says investigators are still looking into what caused the crash. The names of the driver and the construction workers have not been released.
