Eastern Kentucky Police Looking for Links in Fires
Police in eastern Kentucky are looking for links between a series of residential fires and believe they were set by one person.
Pikeville Police Officer Bruce Collins says the most recent blaze at a house on Thursday may be connected to a string of mobile home fires in the city.
Collins told the Appalachian News-Express that the circumstances surrounding the most recent fire and four others in the Fife Fork area are similar because the properties were vacant and had no electrical service at the time.
Although property has been the only loss thus far, Collins says the fires concern him because of the close proximity to other occupied properties.
No injuries have been reported in any of the fires.
