South Carolina Woman Charged With DUI After Car Pool Line Wreck
Authorities say a woman has been charged with driving under the influence after she rear-ended another SUV in the car pool line of an Aiken, S.C., elementary school.
Aiken Public Safety Sgt. Jake Mahoney told The Aiken Standard that 46-year-old Angela Lott’s blood-alcohol level was about twice the legal limit after the wreck Friday afternoon.
Investigators say Lott’s 2006 Ford SUV ran into the back of a 2011 Lexus SUV as the vehicles slowly inched up to Millbrook Elementary School.
Police say they arranged for someone else to pick up Lott’s child from school.
A phone listing for Lott could not be found, and it wasn’t clear if she had an attorney.
