Disaster Recovery Center Opens in West Virginia County
A Federal Emergency Management Agency disaster recovery center is opening in Logan County, W.Va., to help with flooding assistance.
The March 15 storms caused flooding, mudslides and landslides in Logan, Lincoln and Mingo counties. Those counties have been declared federal disaster areas, making them eligible for federal assistance.
Assistance can include grants for temporary housing and home repairs, low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses and other programs to help individuals and business owners recover from the effects of the disaster.
The recovery center will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
